Peaches need to be picked and painted in July. Many summers of my youth were spent picking delicious fruits in California. I never ever imagined I would someday be painting fruit! I learned to paint late in life. I learned that if you want to do something new, just begin and with practice you will improve enough to really enjoy your efforts. Because of the dark and wet skies today, I was unable to photograph my painting outside and the colors appear more blue than they are. The small pewter pitcher looks more like dark pewter in the actual painting.
